About Our Department
Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics are often the first to respond to an emergency medical incident. People’s lives often depend on the quick reactions and competent care of paramedics and EMTs. It’s a high-pace environment that is always changing, but offers diverse challenges and big rewards.
In the NDSCS Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program, you’ll receive hands-on training from professional staff at Sanford Health EMS Education at Sanford Ambulance that prepares you to enter the workforce with confidence.

Emergency Medical Services (Paramedic Technology)
NDSCS offers a program certificate and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Paramedic Technology and is affiliated with Sanford Ambulance Service in Fargo, N.D.
Being an EMS student was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. The program not only gave me the skills and confidence to help others in critical moments, but it also surrounded me with passionate instructors who cared about the long-term success of the students.
